Fuel Spill Coupled With Scheduled Roadwork Backs Up Rt. 287 In Morris County

A fuel spill from a disabled vehicle coupled with scheduled roadwork on Route 287 snarled traffic for Morris County commuters on Tuesday, July 11, developing reports say.

The disabled vehicle was reported on the northbound side south of exit 44 to Rt. 202 in Boonton around 10:15 a.m. and shut down the center lane:

Traffic began to slow as the left lane was closed for a fuel spill and scheduled road work a short time later.
